What a fabulous day to start spring break! Today I found the perfect balance of play and productivity. After finishing the laundry, doing the dishes, etc. I ran some work errands with Jason Mraz then took John-Michael driving. He's taking his test on Friday and his Pa just bought him a truck but...it's a stick. He did great though! We had fun, he drove me around and we looked at houses.
In the afternoon Kaiya, Kenji, and I went to the park. Kaiya pushed Kenji almost all the way around the park in a little over an hour and only tripped once. (Of course it's when she's with me that she gets a skinned knee! But no tears and no blood thankfully. She's a real trooper.) Unfortunately Aunt Hilary's camera is 5 years old and takes about that long to take a picture so they didn't turn out very well, but here they are:
I've decided Kenji really isn't an outdoories(I don't think this is a real word but I like it) kind a guy. This was about the happiest he got on the whole trip. Then once we got home and inside he was all smiles and very talkative. Ending there the day would have been perfect. But alas I had to do my time to make up for all the fun. Two stressful hours at work, but even they weren't that bad.
So far I have managed to fill one day, but the rest of my week is wide open and you can only clean a 600 square foot apartment so many times. Any suggestions?
