You know you live in the south end when...

Yes, it's that time again to share the adventures of a little north end white girl living in the south end...

You know you live in the south end when...

... you are happily baking cookies (in your house with no curtains, thankfully) when you see two teenage boys first knock on your new neighbors door, and when they confirm no one is home proceed into the back yard. They did not look like the kind of people our new, quiet, Christian neighbors would have met in the last week and a half they have lived here. I had to stop baking for back-to-school night (argh!) and call the 911. That's my first time calling 911. I usually call 9911(which is what I have to dial at work where I call the cops at least once a summer.)

...you get pulled over for the first time in your life, while sitting (with your seat belt on) in traffic on 16 going less than 10 miles an hour. I was pulled over for expired tabs, when I bought new ones about a month ago and still remember sticking them on. I check out okay, thanks to a well organized glove compartment. Upon arriving home I check out my tabs, you can still see some remains that the new sticker left behind when it was stolen. :( The officer said this sometimes happens and that you need to report it stolen to the police since each tab has an id number. He also said that the DMV may charge me to get a new one! That doesn't seem right. I may just keep the paper work and get pulled over a lot this coming year.

3 Cheers for the south end!! I am sorry to hear about your adventures. It will get better, we haven't had any problems for a while. The white girls from North Tacoma(yes I lived in the north end for a while I did to go Stadium after all!!) need to take south tacoma back from the hoodlums!! :)

Ha, ha. I love it. But I'm a life-long South Ender.

Well, when you guys get sick of the South Tacoma crowd come join us in East Tacoma. We would be on the street that separates the gang-bangers from the drug-dealers, the drug dealers being across the street! At least we - unlike my in-laws - have never had a drive by shooting where our house was the target!
