For those cat lovers or haters who are wondering whatever happened to that strange car loving cat? I have somewhat of an answer.
Last time I saw the cat it was Monday under a green explorer on North Winnifred. The Whaley's gave me a ride to the in-laws from church since I had nursery. Upon arriving my father in-law begins meowing/whining(like the cat was doing under my car) from down the driveway. I said, "Ha ha. Not funny."
I go inside and boys bombard me saying something about a cat. Then Hans says that the cat was there at the house. In denial I insisted that it was not and Hans took me outside to supposedly prove it. No sooner am I down the front steps then I hear the horrible crying coming from the brush by there house. Sure enough it was the SAME CAT!!!
Hans had arrived home to find my friend sitting on the front steps with the cat in a carrier and not knowing what to do with it he brought it with him.
Apparently the neighbors had gone door to door to find its home. My friend's mom had told them the story but said it wasn't her cat. So Sunday morning the neighbor caught it and dropped it off at my friends house saying maybe she could find its home. She couldn't find anyone to give it a home so she brought it to us.
We tried to find a home for it but couldn't. And since the Humane Society is closed on Sunday we didn't know what to do with the cat because we don't have kitty liter, the cat is a young male and not fixed, etc. So we had to put the cat outside for one more night. We had fed it and let it in the appartment so we figured he would come back.
Clunkers, as Kjerste named him 15 minutes after meeting him, was not seen again until this evening when Hans came home to see 5 children playing with him a building away. They were trying to get him to climb a tree and he was refusing. Poor guy. Hopefully he comes back sometime or finds a good home soon.
I will keep you posted on any Clunker sightings in the future for those of you who have fallen in love with him.

I can't believe he didn't come back after all that love we gave him and after that chicken. Man! What a selfish cat.
