Our House!

We found 10 different kinds of linoleum under there!  Ali would have kept the blue one if she had found it in her house.

It was a family affair.  We had all the Kvale men there working for about 2 hours.  They all had a blast.  I think it's in their blood.

Here is our kitchen/dining room, down to the studs.  It now has insulation, sheet rock, and is being mudded!

We had a whole lot of trash when all was said and done.
But some people from craig's list took almost all the lath for kindling and all the cupboards as well as the treacherous stairs!

Hans gleefully mowing our lawn for the first time!

Look what we found!  (For those of you who don't know, my dad works for Weyerhaeuser)

Yay for our new wonderful stairs!  You can still see the outline of the old ones.  They were so steep!

Hopefully I will update again soon with some more recent pics.  A lot more has happened since these were taken.

We have had wonderful help from both our families working and feeding us.  The Whaleys and Isenbergers have also graciously fed us after a long work day.  What wonderful friends and family we have!

How exciting! Maybe one of these days I will stop by if I see one of your cars out as I drive past.

Hilary, I didn't know you had started keeping up your blog again! Your house is so great! We got keys to our house a couple weeks ago and we've been having so much fun with it. You and Hans will make it beautiful. You people are so talented. Joe and I could never take on a project like that. Maybe we'll get a chance to see it when we're in Tacoma (next week!!!)

Much better pictures Hilary! The front porch is gorgeous, you are going to love that. I really like the window arrangements in the front too, very stylish. It looks like a keeper. Sorry it is so much work for you both right now but you are young and healthy, and you will certainly enjoy the fruit of your labor.
